The absence of a standard protocol for cutting/pruning tree branches not only plays confusion with greenery in public places, but also destroys green spaces in closed communities.
Experienced trees of the leaves and axis of branches in the name of pruning are commonly carried out by the municipality Hyderabad in medium and road margins, while the authorities of energy distribution resort to cutting, causing imbalance of canopy and subsequent falls, lives and real estate.
What is happening inside closed communities is rarely a public report. The recent instance in which the closed community has resorted to the indiscriminate mowing of branches is the wheels of social media and draws horror of viewers.
At the road edges of the played community, the Cyber County in Nallaganda, trees with bare trunks and half branches were completely removed, which were completely removed by trees with bare trunks and half branches. Posts of the Vata Foundation and Save City Forests Group on the incident have received traction on social media. It is estimated that a total of 37 trees were subjected to “trimming”.
When you ask, it is found that a resolution has been adopted on the community, and almost everyone agreed that the trees need pruning. The Secretary of the Association of Srinivas Kanchibhotl, when he was contacted, said that the decision was stimulated by a recent incident in which the tree branch cracked under the impact of a recent storm.
“We are all environmentalists in the community, and we would also like great canopies and trees, but unmanageable heights on which the trees could grow for various reasons over the past 15 years, they represented a serious threat to life, limb and property,” Kanchibhotla said.
The intention is to enable trees to grow in more manageable and safer heights with regular cutting and pruning forward operations, he added. No horticultural expert was approached, nor was the permission of the Forest Ministry adopted for this operation.
Uday Krishna Pedddireddi from the Wool Foundation questioned the way the operation was performed at the peak of the summer.
“One falling branch cannot be an excuse. Someone thought what the trees had to go through with all the leaves removed in the harsh summer? Is it high time for the forest department to come up with a standard protocol for cutting and pruning trees and forcing it strictly,” Mr.Peddieddi said.
The district forest officer of Rangareddy Sudhakar Reddy, when he was contacted, said a few months ago, the community was warned against his intention to fall the trees of Kadamby, as decided at the meeting of the much -body. However, he is not aware of the last incident.
