
Israeli war aircraft struck on Monday (May 5) in the western port city of Yemen, the day after Houth rebels demanded responsibility for the launch that landed near Ben Gurion International Airport, the main Israeli air center.
The Israeli strike represents an important escalation at a monthly distance between Israel and Yemeni Iran, a supported Houthi movement.
The Israeli official, who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity, confirmed air strikes in Yemen, including hits in the port of Hodeida and the district of Bajil. Huthi-Run al-Masirah has described raids as “US-Israel’s aggression”, which reported six air strikes on Hodeid and other hits in Bajil.
Houthis claims to run a rocket
On Sunday, Houth Forces said they launched a “hypersonic ballistic missile”, which hit the district of Ben Gurion near Tel Aviv – the first attack that landed near a strategic facility. Impact set off a crater near the parking lot and injured six people, which led a temporary flight suspension.
