Karun Nair said that Delhi Capitals (DC) had to play with “freedom” to qualify for the playoffs in the Premier League (IPL) 2025. Previously located at the top, DC slipped on fifth in the point tables along their backs to Royal Challenger Bengalur (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders).
Capitals, led by Axar Patel, will return to the action after a six -day break when they lock the corners with Pat cummins’ Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) 5 May at the International Rajiv Gandhi stadium. Nair said that DC must culminate at the right time with a play -off closure.
“It’s about winning in the game. In most games we did it really well, and we’re sitting in a decent position. But when I said it we have to go there and play with a lot of freedom,” Karun said at a press conference before the match.
“We had a little break just to reset ourselves. So we had time as a team to go back to things we were doing well. It’s about the top at the right time,” he said.
“Still Firing well”

“I think I’m still going well. It’s about transforming these 20 runs to a bigger score. This is where you can change matches for your team and make these 15 or 20 runs is sometimes also affected,” Nair added.
The capitals currently have 12 points and a net running level of +0.362 thanks to victory in six out of 10 matches.
