Chief coach Pandjab Kings (PBKS) Ricky Ponting revealed how he motivated the opening of Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh in front of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Dharamsala Stadium.
After Akash Maharaj Singh missed him left -wing Priyansh, he released him for only one in the first exaggeration of the panda. Prabhsimran, on the other hand, took an excellent chance of scoring his second IPL one hundred.
But in the penultimate broadcast he got to 91 as Digvesh Rathi charged his goal. Prabhsimran’s Knock, attached to six and seven six, helped PBKS score 236 for five out of 20 overs. Then PBKS limited LSG to 199 to seven and won by 37 runs.
Ponting accumulated praise on Priyansh and Prabhsimran for putting their best leg forward on the tournament.

While Prabhsimran is their highest running shooter with 437 runs on average 39.72, Priyansh last month in Mullanpur accumulated 347 runs with a century against Chennai Super Kings.
Ponting said he called on one of Priyansh and Prabhsimran to score a hundred against Super Giants.

“Both, as you know, before they did 350 runs for the tournament today. I attacked both the opening of the team meeting today to continue one of them and get a hundred in this match.”
“Unfortunately, Prabh felt only a little short. But look, everything we did with our branding group, we just gave a really clear direction we want to play to understand how important you know, the partnership of the highest order is in this competition.
Ponting said that while PriyANSH takes an attack on fast pitching, Prabhsimran can pull out large shots against spinners.
“You know, Priyansh Mainly, probably more against faster pitch. And Prabh is as good Hitter or Spinner as someone goes.
Kings will be against Axar Patel’s Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 8 in Dharamsale.
