India’s men’s skeet team won bronze after a shootout win over Kazakhstan

The final is scheduled to start at 12:30 PM IST.The medal came on a productive day for India in shooting, with the country’s men’s and women’s skeet teams both securing bronze medals. Raiza Dhillon, Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Maheshwari Chauhan had earlier finished third in the women’s skeet team event with a total score of 331. China won the gold with 346 points while Kazakhstan won the silver.Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker also reached the final of the women’s 10m individual air pistol, but finished fifth in the medal round, while Suruchi Inder Singh and Esha Singh did not qualify for the final.Outside the box, India’s women’s kabaddi team maintained their unbeaten start with a 37-23 win over Iran in their Group A match. India were under pressure early on but fought back strongly to record their second straight win as they opened their campaign with a win over Bangladesh.India also secured their first Asian Games medal in soft tennis after Jay Meena reached the semi-finals of the men’s singles. Meena defeated Sherwin Nuguit of the Philippines 4-3 in a dramatic quarter-final and fought back after trailing 3-5 in the decider.
