Asian Games 2026 Day 4 Live Updates: India will have another busy day at the 2026 Asian Games on Wednesday, September 23, with some of the country’s top athletes in action in Aichi-Nagoya.
Shooting and weightlifting will lead India’s medal hopes on Day 4, while the men’s badminton team will play for a spot in the gold medal match.

Two-time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker will be one of the main attractions of the day. She will compete alongside Suruchi Inder Singh and Esha Singh in the women’s 10m air pistol qualification. The trio will also take part in the team event and Bhaker, Suruchi and Esha will compete in the individual finals if they qualify.

Weightlifting will also be in the spotlight as Olympic medalist Mirabai Chanu begins her campaign in the women’s 49kg category. He will be aiming to win his first Asian Games medal. Later in the day, Gyaneshwari Yadav will compete in the women’s 53kg event.

Having already clinched a medal after defeating Japan in the quarter-finals, the Indian men’s badminton team will face China in the semi-finals.
