Railway ‘CHIRAG’ – Center for HR Excellence inaugurated in Moula-Ali

The Center for HR Information Systems, Research and Analytics in Management (CHIRAG), a center of excellence for HRM training, research and digital transformation in Indian Railways, was inaugurated on Monday at the SCR Grounds, adjacent to the Zonal Railway Training Institute (ZRTI) at Moula-Ali, another member (HR) of VG Bhooma in the presence of senior railway officials.

CHIRAG aims to play a key role in improving HR capabilities across Indian Railways. It will offer certified role-based Human Resource Management System (HRMS) training for employees across all cadres and develop a dedicated cadre of HRMS-MITRA Master Trainers for deployment at ZRTI. In addition, the center will act as a think tank for HR policy formulation and cross-system integration. It is also poised to incorporate advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and predictive analytics to enhance HR decision-making processes.

The facility will house state-of-the-art computer labs and the iGOT recording studio to support nationwide dissemination of training programs. The foundation stone of a new building at the center was also laid on the occasion, a press release said.
