
As part of the ongoing intervention against terrorism after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the police carried out searching in five places in Srinagar on Saturday, PTI said.
Police spokesman Jammu and Kashmir said they had intensified searches in more places in the city to dismantle the infrastructure supporting terror in the district.
The search, according to the spokesperson, was part of the ongoing negotiations against terrorist collaborators of banned clothing and to support investigations registered under the Act on Unlawful Activities (Prevention) (UAPA).
The search was carried out to seize weapons, documents, digital devices, etc., with the aim of gathering evidence and collecting intelligence information to detect and discourage any conspiracy or terrorist activity against the country’s safety, added the PTI report.
Twenty -six people, mostly tourists, were killed and several injured when terrorists started fire at Baisaran, a meadow near the popular tourist city of Pahalgam in the anantlnag district in South Kashmir on April 22.
IC-814 The acceptable house searched the terrorist house
Two days ago, the police made a search at 21 locations, including the IC-814 kidnapping residence, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar alias Latrum, through Srinagar.
A team of police investigators made a search early in the morning in the Latrum residence, the Chief of Al-UMar Terrorist Clothing and Houses about 20 other accused terror, reported the PTI press agency.
Latrum was released from prison together with Chief Jaish-E-Mohammad (me) Masood Azhar in exchange for passengers kidnapped Indian air flights in 1999.
In March 2023, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) attached Latrum’s house under Uapa. It is reported that a refugeed terrorist works from Pakistan after his release in 1999, the report said.
The spokesman said that the decisive measures of the Police of Jamm and Kashmir focus on dismantling the terrorist ecosystem in the Union by identifying and taking legal action against individuals dealing against national and criminal activities.
