Arshdeep Singh cleaning up social media? PBKS star deletes over 200 posts on Insta
Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh has apparently done a major social media reset, deleting most of the content from his Instagram account amid intense scrutiny and backlash over his recent online activity.
The left-arm speedster’s Instagram profile has seen a dramatic drop in posts over the past 24 hours, dropping his total to just 44. Notably, most of the remaining posts appear to be limited to brand endorsements and promotional collaborations, suggesting a deliberate purging of personal and casual content.
Storm on social networks after controversial clips
The sudden move comes in the wake of numerous controversies that have drawn widespread criticism across social media platforms.
One of the biggest flare-ups was a Snapchat video in which Arshdeep was seen addressing Indians in Mumbai beating Tilak Varma with a racial remarkwhich caused outrage among fans. The clip quickly went viral online, sparking sharp criticism and calls for accountability.
Another video that sparked discussion he allegedly showed his Punjab Kings teammate Yuzvendra Chahal smoking an e-cigarette during one of Arshdeep’s video logos. While the clip also went viral, it added to the growing scrutiny of the pacer’s social media presence.
As the criticism mounted, Arshdeep became the target of trolling and backlash, with many users questioning his behavior and judgment online.
As of now, his only recent post of note is the one labeled “Sabar. Shukar. Punjab,” (Patience. Gratitude. Punjab).

A disappointing end to Punjab Kings
The development of social media comes at a difficult time professionally as well The Punjab Kings are enduring a painful end to what once looked like a dream IPL campaign.
Punjab started the season in sensational fashion, putting together an eight-match winning streak and becoming one of the strongest contenders to make the playoffs. However, a dramatic loss of momentum in the latter stages saw their campaign unravel.
With the results no longer in their control, Punjab’s hopes eventually faded as Rajasthan Royals did enough to clinch the final play-off spot. Rajasthan will now take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday, May 27.
For Arshdeep, the Instagram cleanse could be seen as an attempt to take a step away from the noise and reset after a turbulent few days on and off the field. Whether the move will help cool the backlash remains to be seen, but the episode once again highlighted how quickly social media controversies can overshadow the on-field narrative in modern sports.
