Four-year-old girl dies after accidentally locking herself in car

A four-year-old girl died of suffocation after she accidentally locked herself in a stationary car near her home at Vinoba Nagar in Julurupadu mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday.

The deceased, Tanvitha, was the elder daughter of Vinoba Nagar sarpanch Naveen, according to sources.

The girl reportedly got inside while she was playing in the afternoon and accidentally locked herself in the car. She remained trapped for nearly two hours as her family searched for her.

The family later found her unconscious in the car and broke the window to save her. She was taken to a hospital in Kothagudem where doctors declared her brought dead.

Her father was away in a nearby village when the incident occurred, sources said.

The tragic death of the girl affected her parents.
