YouTube Neal Mohan, CEO (1 May 2025), announced an 850 GBP Crore investment to accelerate the Indian creative economy.
During the Waves Summit, Mr. Mohan said there were more than 15,000 Indian channels on YouTube with more than a million subscribers.
They joined the global creators Mark Rober and Gautami Kawale and Mr. Mohan emphasized the role of YouTube in organizing Indian stories around the world. “India is not just in music and film, it’s now a creative nation,” Muhan said.
Mrs. Kawale shared how regional Indian content was when rooted in culture, universal attraction, while Mr. Rober spoke about the strength of STEM content that exceeds the boundaries across the as-released dubbing and localization.
Shantan Narayen, CEO of Adobe, emphasized the emergence of Indian as a “global creativity center driven by digital instruments and generative AI”. With more than 100 million content creators and 500 million OTT consumers, OTT has described the country as “other creative superpower in the world”. He also introduced AI AI Adobe.
