Ull House Arrest Discussion: A viral clip from the reality show hosted on the OTT platform caused controversy about its “vulgar” and “obscene” content, with the leader of Shiv hare (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackery) Priyanka Chaturvedi wondering why streaming applications have not yet been banned.
Sharing clip from OTT Web series “House punishment” – organized by former Bigg Boss Ajaz Khan and available on the “Ull” platform – May 1, Chaturvedi claimed that she repeatedly marked “obscene” content in these applications, but still have to get an answer.
“I picked it up in the Permanent Committee that the application, like this, namely Ulla and Alt Balaji, managed to escape the ban on the Ministry of I & B in obscene content.
In another paper, the cottage said that 14 March 2024 the Ministry and 18 platforms blocked 18 OTT platforms, which were found to stream obscene and pornographic content. “The application blocked by the government was primarily the platforms distributed explicit material. The next 18 applications were prohibited. Surprisingly, 2 of the largest applications were maintained out-ab and Alt Balaji, even & B, why were they omitted from this ban?” She asked.
This Web series OTT, House Hodist, hosted in Ull by former Bigg Boss Ajaz Khan and shocked the audience with its bold and “vulgar” content.
In one of the clips, Khan shows that he is asking other contestants to show the sexual position of the show. Contestants do what Khan says, called “Daddy of the House”.
“It won’t work”: BJP MP
Bharatiya Janata party MP, Nishikant Dubey also took note of the clip and assured that such content would not be allowed.
“It will not work, our committee will act,” Dubey said in a post on X in Hindi and described the Ministry I & B.
SC notification for focus on obscene content
The controversy of “House Herest” comes with the Supreme Court on April 28. April issued a notice to the center and other relevant parties in response to a petition looking for a directive to take appropriate measures to disable sexually explicit content on OTT and social media platforms.
The Bench of the Supreme Court of Justices Br Gava and Ag Masih said it was “important concerns” and was looking for an answer Netflix, Amazon Prime, Alt Balaji, Ulla, X, Meta Inc, Google, Mubi, Apple, and more to regulate obscene content on OTT platforms and social media.
India got a latent line
The last row also comes months after the Podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia in February found himself in a great controversy over his “vulgar” comments on the now deleted comedy show Samay Raina “India Got Late”.
Allahabadia apologized the next day. Many police complaints were filed against him and the case reached the Supreme Indian court.
I have increased it in the Permanent Committee that an application like this, namely Ulla and Alt Balaji, managed to escape the ban on the Ministry of I & B in obscene content applications.
The court granted him interim protection against arrest, even though he called his notes “vulgar” and said he had a “dirty mind”. In March he was allowed to continue his show in court.
