Transport Minister Ramaling Reddy instructed North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) to explore the claim that the driver stopped the bus and offered Masaz in the Haveri district of April 30.
In the letter to the CEO of NWKRTC, Mr. Reddy ordered to confirm the truth of the assertion that the driver had stopped the bus and offered to get on his chair. The alleged incident occurred on April 29. The pictures and videos of Nayaz Mulla, the driver of Hangal Bus Depot, who stopped the bus on the Hansal-Vishalgad route to offer to his chair, were shared on social media.
“There is no need to add that employees in government service must follow certain rules and regulations. Every person has the right to religious freedom. They can practice their religious rituals in public service, but not when they are on duty. “It is necessary to ensure that these incidents do not appear in the future.”
