Pachaiyappa’s Trust will get new board members after the elections

After several years of delay amid legal disputes, Pachaiyappa’s Trust has a new set of board members following elections held earlier this month in accordance with the order of the Madras High Court.

The newly constituted board subsequently held a presidential election and S. Jayachandran was elected president of the Pachaiyappa board. The Board also appointed S. Paramasivam as the Finance Officer and appointed R. Prabhaakaran as the Secretary Member of the Board.

The following members were elected to the Board of Trustees: C. Saravanan and Sinora PS Ashok were elected under the constituency Hindu Members – Senate – University of Madras; S. Jayachandran and R. Prabhaakaran were elected under Pachaiyappa’s Trust College Council constituency; K. Hemanath and V. Ramanathan were elected under the Approved Teachers constituency; and S. Paramasivam, Kaattur G. Sampath and S. Suresh were elected under the Registered Graduate Constituency.

The Board of Directors has now officially begun proceedings to oversee routine administrative activities.
