The District Memorious Committee of all India Democratic Youth Organization (Aidyo) took the decision of the state government to conclude all the auxiliary training centers of midwives (ANMTC) in the State.
In her statement here, Secretary of Aidyo Suma S. stated that AnMTC was junior health assistant training that provided valuable job opportunities in the health sector.
“Despite many young women who have entered the two-year course in January, it is to move health care to stop the training and close all training centers, anti-Youth measures,” she said.
Although those who were influenced by the medium -term interruption of training were offered the opportunity to join the 18 government diploma in nursing schools (GNM) in the state, those who did not want to perform a three -year diploma nursing course were instructed to return home.
The health of rural communities
“This decision will effectively eliminate many students from their chosen educational program without notice,” she said, adding that anMTC trainees were appointed as officers of health protection in rural primary health centers where they cooperate with ASHA staff to ensure proper treatment of postpartum women and other patients in villages.
However, the decision to cancel such educational programs and contributions in the name of cost management will have an adverse impact on the health of rural communities, Aidyo said.
In order to avoid a legal complication, the health department will resort to unethical tactics by obtaining letters of consent from the participants and their parents and saying that they voluntarily join the diploma in the nursing course. Aidyo calls on all of them to unite and fight the closure of the ANMTC training centers, Mrs. Suma said.
