The Kozhikode unit of the Samagra Shiksha Keral (SSK) unit claimed that it has introduced several projects aimed at achieving the education goal for all.
According to SSK officials, “Malaylathathilakam”, “Hello English”, “Purding Writers”, “Sureeli Hindi”, “Meethi Malayalam” and “Ahlan Arabic” have been some of the projects launched in the last nine years to improve language teaching. Small laboratories, mathematical laboratories, meteorological stations, scientific laboratories and social science laboratories were established and scientific sets were divided among students. Projects such as “Ullasa Ganitham” and “Ganitha Vijayam” were supposed to facilitate the teachings of mathematics. The funds for the development of school libraries have been allocated and the programs are held to improve reading habits among students.
These projects are carried out at a time when the center detained the appropriate share of the state for not signing the PM schools for the growing agreement on India (PM Shri). According to the Ministry of Education, it has 1 186.84 GBP, including arrears, from the Government of the Union. As a result, employees’ salaries were often delayed.
For various students
SSK has set up special centers for various students and efforts to enroll almost all students in schools have been developed. The swimming training program called “Beats” was one of the innovative projects launched in Kozhikode, which included 100 visually handicapped students. The music ensemble called “Malhar”, created for different students, has made many programs in different places.
Steps were taken to ensure home education for students with bed and those who are physically, mentally or intellectually questioned to also gain school experience. The initiatives include virtual classrooms and an interactive project called “Changathikoottam”, where students share their school experience with their peers with bed.
Otherwise, students who completed school education were trained for work and provided location services. There are 16 autistic centers in the district, where physiotherapy, speech therapy and ergotherapy are provided. Parents are performed programs of authorization and special teachers are also provided.
Skill development
SSK officials said that “creative corners” were operated in 27 locations in conjunction with Cochin University of Science and Technology for the development of higher primary students’ skills. Practical training for students from classes VI to XII in electronics, robotics, 3D printing, coding and sensor technology were established in six schools. Meteorological stations were established at 18 higher secondary schools in the district to help students understand and analyze daily weather conditions in their relevant areas.
