The leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday (April 29, 2025), visited the modern Coach factory in Rae Bareli, where he conducted extensive discussions with officials on operations and future prospects. The visit was part of its wider involvement in developmental initiatives in its parliamentary constituency.
At the beginning of the day, Mr. Gandhi was chaired by the meeting of the coordination and monitoring committee of the District Development, a platform aimed at strengthening coordination between elected representatives and officials to ensure early development programs. The meeting was attended by local leaders, administrative officials and public representatives.
During the visit, Mr. Gandhi also introduced the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Rae Bareli, which meant a symbolic gesture in honor of a nationalist leader.
When he spoke to the Hindu leader of the congress and representative of the opposition leader in Rajya Sabha, Pramod Tiwari, he said that the Gandhi family remained constantly determined by the development of Rae Barrel and Amethi. “Mr. Gandhi has made a priority to return to his election district and personally oversee developing initiatives,” he said.
Mr. Tiwari claimed in the commentary of the railway coach coach that the center could not expand adequate support for the unit, which he called a critical source of employment for youth in the region. “Railways are a rescue rope of the country. The neglect of its development, especially in such key facilities, represents a political vendet,” he said.
As part of his itinerary, Mr. Gandhi is expected to visit the SHUBHAM DWIVEDI family, the inhabitants of Kanpur, who was killed in a recent terrorist attack by Pahalgam. The President of the Uttar Pradesh Ajay Rai, who confirmed the visit, repeated the support of the party for the demand for the family for the dwived martyr and quoted his courage during the incident.
