Three dead and two injured in truck parking on NH 563 in Karimnagar district

Three people were killed and two others injured when the car they were traveling in rammed into a parked truck near Tadikal town in Shankarapatnam mandal of Karimnagar district on Thursday evening.

The accident took place on the upgraded Karimnagar-Warangal stretch of National Highway 563, disrupting vehicular movement on the busy highway for some time.

According to sources, the car, which was heading towards Karimnagar, hit a stationary truck on the outskirts of Tadikalu.

Three passengers in the car were reportedly dead on the spot, while two others suffered serious injuries.

Sources said the deceased reportedly hailed from the erstwhile composite district of Nizamabad. Their identities could not be immediately established. The local police rushed to the spot, took the injured to a hospital in Karimnagar for treatment and cleared the traffic. Further investigation is underway.
