Governor Karnataka Thaawwarchand Gehlot wrote to Chief Minister Siddaraiaiah and lecturer UT Khader that they ask them to “positively consider” an application for the abolition of 18 BJP members of the legislative assembly.
In the letters addressed to the Chief Minister and the speaker, the Governor said they wanted them to take a positive step to follow the basic principles of democratic values in the state and allow the suspended MLA to restore their duties as representatives of the people.
Delegation meeting
The delegation of BJP legislators, led by the Party of the Party Vijayendra and the leader of the opposition in the Assembly of R. Ashok, met with the governor on Monday and sought his intervention in the abolition of a suspension of 18 BJP MLA. Mr. Ashok said the governor assured them of writing the government and starting discussions with the speaker on this matter. BJP also met the speaker on this matter earlier.
The governor who quoted the memorandum presented to the Legislation of BJP legislation said in his letter that they asked him to hand over his representation to the speaker and the state government. “With regard to the above, to observe the basic principles of democratic values in the Karnataka state and allow the suspended members to continue their obligations as representatives of people, I wish their application be considered positive and take the necessary steps to abolish,” said Governor.
During the budget meeting of the legislature, 18 MLA belonging to the BJP was suspended six months from the house for creating a hand. They were suspended because of “non -discipline and disrespect” towards the chair of the speaker. They mounted voice protests that demanded the CBI judicial or the CBI probe to the accusation of Minister KN Rajann, as well as torn papers and brochures and threw them to the speaker.
