“The Waqf, 2025 law, is a step towards protecting Waqf real estate from rich and powerful Muslims who have mined for years,” said President Tamil Maanila (TMML) S. Sheikh Dawood on Monday.
In an interview with the media, he said that the WAQF survey should be accelerated and the message should be uploaded to the web to ensure transparency.
ACCUSING ALL INDIA MAJLIS-E-ITEHADUL MUSLIMEEN (AIMIM) Leader and MP Assaduddin Owaisi of “Enjoying Waqf Properties” Worth ₹ 6,000 Crore, Mr. Sheikh Dawood Said North Leaders and Wealthy Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, and Karnataka Were Enjoying The Befits of Waqf Properties without Accountability.
“According to the WAQF Properties listed in the Sachar Committee, the Board of Directors had a 1.2 Lakh Crore feature. This means that revenue should be at least 12,000 GBP,” he said.
And at the current value of these properties, the income should be at least 90,000 crore, he said. “Where is the money going? Qualities that would benefit poor Muslims, fall into the hands of rich and powerful Muslims,” he said.
Asked why TMML did not oppose the BJP government’s decision to stop the scholarship system for Muslim students, Mr. Sheikh Dawood replied that if all WAQF real estate was acquired, several people enjoyed educational expenses of all Muslim students. TMML launched a “WAQF for Ummah” movement to take advantage of the amendment for all state people, he said.
