Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Sanju Samson also moved up the rankings after their performances.

Abhishek Sharma rises to No. 2, Varun Chakravarthy enters the top five

Abhishek has been one of India’s standout performers in the series, his explosive knock of 82 in the opening match helping him move up one place to second in the latest ICC T20I batsman rankings.The left-hander overtook Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan and now trails team-mate Ishan Kishan, who continues to occupy the top spot. The two Indian batters are separated by 51 rating points. Sanju Samson also progressed, climbing four places to No.30 after scoring a half-century in the second T20I.Indian bowlers have also seen a significant boost. Varun Chakravarthy moved up two places to fifth, while Bumrah climbed seven places to enter the top 10 at 10th. Arshdeep Singh jumped 11 places to 14th while Axar Patel moved up six places to 27th in the latest T20I bowling rankings.Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai also made progress in the T20I all-rounder rankings after scoring an unbeaten half-century in the series opener.

Nathan Ellis, Matthew Renshaw make gains in ODI rankings

The Australians also made remarkable progress in the latest ODI rankings after their 59-run win over Zimbabwe in the series opener in Harare. Pacer Nathan Ellis climbed 20 places to 20th in the ODI bowling rankings after taking five wickets in the competition.Matthew Renshaw, who was named the man of the match for his impressive knock of 109 runs, made a significant jump in the ODI batsmen’s rankings. The left-hander moved from outside the top 100 to 68th. Youngster Cooper Connolly also climbed nine places to No.77 after contributing 51 runs batting at No.3 against Zimbabwe.

Ollie Robinson achieved a career high in Test cricket

England pacer Ollie Robinson achieved a new career-high in the latest ICC Test rankings after an impressive performance in the recently concluded three-match home series against Pakistan.Robinson climbed two places to third in the Test bowling rankings after taking 21 wickets in the entire series. His England team-mate Josh Tongue also moved up two places to 11th for a career-best ranking after taking 19 wickets during the series.Robinson’s contribution with the bat was also recognised, his timely half-century in the third Test in Birmingham helping him climb seven places to 13th in the Test all-rounders’ rankings. Pakistan captain Babar Azam moved up two places to 13th in the Test batsmen rankings, while Shan Masood climbed four places to 37th.England batsman and batsman Jamie Smith also progressed, moving up three places to 20th after scoring a half-century in the first innings of the third Test.
