APPSC Group 1 Notification 2026 out: 163 posts, valid from 6th to 27th October; 729 other vacancies were also reported

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has issued a recruitment notification for 892 posts in various departments and services in the state.

In a statement on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) Commission stated that online applications will be invited from eligible candidates as per the tentative schedule announced in the notifications.

The largest recruitment is for Group I services, with 163 provisional vacancies announced under Notification No. 07/2026. Online applications for these positions will be accepted from October 6 to 27. The Commission has also announced 40 posts of Assistant Environmental Engineer in AP Pollution Control Board and 37 posts of Horticulture Officer in AP Horticulture Service.

Recruitment was also announced for eight posts of Assistant Director in AP State Forensic Science Laboratory and 73 posts of Class II Hostel Welfare Officer in BC Welfare, Social Welfare and Tribal Welfare Departments. Six posts of Tribal Welfare Assistant and 11 posts of Assistant Social Worker were also announced.

The commission has announced 196 posts of Assistant Statistical Officer in AP Economic and Statistical Subordinate Service and 17 posts of Assistant Director in AP Economic and Statistical Service. One post of Assistant Director in AP Tribal Welfare Service has also been included. Applications for these positions are tentatively scheduled from October 13 to November 2.

Other vacancies include 12 factory inspector positions, 18 analyst II positions. degrees, 10 English reporters and one Telugu reporter in AP Legislature Services, 104 posts of Executive Director III. Applications for several of these positions will be accepted from October 16th to November 5th.

The remaining vacancies include posts in the Department of Women’s Development and Child Welfare, Forestry and Other Services, including 29 posts of Heads of Grade I, 26 posts of Heads of Forest Sections, 20 posts of Draftsmen II.
