Mukulam Portal to ensure equal opportunities for students in entrance tests: Keralam Ministry

The Mukulam portal developed by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) will enable equal opportunity in competitive examinations for public school students in Kerala using artificial intelligence (AI), General Education Minister N. Samsudheen said.

He said this after inaugurating the AI ​​Mukulam-based portal here on Tuesday as part of the 100-day program of the government.

The minister said that initiatives like Mukulam will help the higher secondary sector achieve excellence. These should be effectively implemented in schools.

Mukulam will provide free AI-based tuition to students of higher secondary schools and higher vocational schools to prepare them for entrance tests like NEET, JEE CUET, KVPY and IISER admissions.

Support requested

Students who cannot attend private tuition due to financial difficulties will benefit from Mukulam. Artificial intelligence has been integrated into the portal to identify the learning needs of individual students and provide the required support and practice.

After successful implementation as a pilot project in 25 selected schools, Mukulam has now been expanded to reach all students of higher secondary schools and higher vocational schools in the state.

Digital learning materials for around 10 subjects across science, commerce and humanities streams are available on the website.

Workshop

On the occasion, the minister also launched a one-day workshop for senior secondary school principals.

Director of General Education Arun K. Vijayan presided over the function. KITE CEO K. Anvar Sadath was present.
