VD Satheesan sworn in as Chief Minister of Kerala

Vadasseri Damodaran Satheesan was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Kerala on Monday at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram along with his full council of ministers. The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has secured a decisive seat in the 2026 Keralam Assembly elections, ending the decade-long rule of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the state.

Who else was sworn in as ministers in Satheesan’s cabinet? According to reports, Ramesh Chennithala, who was also in the running for the post of chief minister, has been selected as a minister in the Satheesan cabinet. K Muraleedharan and Sunny Joseph will also be sworn in as ministers along with several other IUML leaders.

The 20-member cabinet that will be sworn in along with VD Satheesan includes senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, K Muraleedharan and KPCC chief Sunny Joseph.
