Recently, an Indian living in Poland joined the discussion when he showed off his massive house and compared its estimated construction cost with the price of smaller houses in the capital of Maharashtra.
Deepanshu Lakhwan shared a video of the property on Instagram and claimed that while a small apartment in some parts of Mumbai can stand around ₹For 10 million, a significantly larger house could be built in Poland for approx ₹15 million crowns ₹17 million.

In the video, Lakhwan takes viewers around the property and explains how much more space the estimated amount could provide compared to the Mumbai housing market.
“Brother, I saw that in many places in Mumbai you can get small apartments for 10 million rupees each. But today in Poland, I will show you what kind of house you can build for 15 to 17 million rupees. You can’t buy it, you can build it. This is a house. This is one of my favorite places with a garden at the back. I will visit the garden sometimes for this weekend. look at this, you have come on a trip with your family and this is where you built this place.
The footage captures the property’s expansive interiors, large rooms, wooden details and a rear garden. Lakhwan also highlights the age of some of the materials used inside the house.
The house features decades-old wooden elements
Pointing to an old photo inside the property, Lakhwan said, “And this is a photo… from the 1920s. This entire house used over 100-year-old wood. That was the room where we lived. Amazing. Everything in this room is at least 50 to 100 years old,” he adds.
According to Lakhwan, the construction took about two decades. He also described it as one of his favorite places to visit during the weekends.
“A Home Made of Love”
Lakhwan’s Instagram post also revealed that the property represents a long-term personal desire for him.
“This is a home made with love. The retirement nest I want one day,” he wrote in the caption.
The video caught the attention of social media users with several viewers commenting on the design of the property and how it compares with real estate prices in Mumbai.
