The leader of the Congress of UDit Raj hit the congress MP Shashi Tharoor over his comments on the consequences of the terrorist attack of Pahalgam. Raj questioned Tharoor’s political loyalty and asked whether he was in accordance with the congress or the party of Bharatiya Janata (BJP).

Tharoor said on Sunday: “It is clear that there was no full intelligence of evidence. There was some failure … But we got an example of Israel, the best intelligence services in the world according to all that were surprised on October 7, just two years ago.”

He added that no country can ever have a reliable 100 % intelligence.
“We will never know about the various terrorist attacks that have been successfully thwarted. We will only learn about those we could not frustrate. This is normal in every nation. There has been a failure, I agree, but that should not be our main focus right now …” Tharoor said.
Tharoor’s statement came after at least 26 people were killed on April 22 in the terrorist attack of Pahalgam.
Udit Raj responded to his comments and said that Israel was an exception. He also asked, “I want to ask him (Tharoor) who the terrorist incident took place after 9/11 in America? … But here Uri happened, Pulwama occurred. …”
