In Pictures: Ganesh Chaturthi 2026
GAnesh Chaturthi, or Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a Hindu festival celebrated across India in honor of Lord Ganesha.
The festival falls on September 14, 2026.
As part of the celebrations, idols of various sizes are erected and displayed in different parts of the country both at home and on the streets.

‘Sri Divya Kankana Alankara Maha Ganapathi’, a 117-feet tall idol decorated with around one million glass bangles, installed by SV Entertainments for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations, was opened to the public at Sri Nagar in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam, on September 13. He said the Ganesh idol is the tallest among the 202 tall idols. in town this year.
