From flags to life -size, pictures and honor of Pope Francis were visible throughout the Pedro Bidegain stadium in Buenos Aires on Saturday because his beloved San Lorenzo de Almagro Soccer Team for the first time since Pontiff’s death.
Players wore jerseys with the paintings of the late Pope, along with the words “together for eternity”, because the memory of Francis showed the team throughout his life, even remained a member during his 12 -year -old papacy.
“The Pope comes from Boeda,” the fans sang in front of the excavation and developed the Vatican-colored yellow and white flags. The club based in Bedo in Buenos Aires plans to name its new stadium after Pope Francis.
During the half -time show, Scholass Cornrentes, an international organization created by the Pope in 2013 to transform global education, she also paid tribute to the Pope who died on Monday at the age of 88.
