Sunil Gavascar feels that Shreyas Iyer will be fired for his return to Kolkata on Saturday 26th April during the collision of KKR vs PBKS. Shreyas was the captain of the KRK party, who won the title last season, but the franchise decided to keep him before mega auction.
While the KKR offered for it during the auction, Shreyas eventually bought PBK for RS. 26,75 Crores. At the beginning of the season he even managed a record victory for Pandjab against Calcutta when they defended 111 runs in Mullanpur. When he talked to the transmitter, Gavascar said that the Krkou leaving Shreyas would be justifiable if he wasn’t in shape.
The Indian legend feels that Captain PBKS would have been injured by a wedding, although he was a captain who won the title. Gavascar feels that no one wants to be omitted from the team victory and Shreyas will have half a dozen points to prove when he goes against a KRK.
“He will be fired. And if he was, you know, I was out of form if they couldn’t do well, then one could understand. But the captain of the winning team that is not preserved will hurt. There is no doubt that it will hurt.
Will the KKR be affected by the loss of Mullanpur?
Michael Clarke feels that the KKR will not be affected by the loss of PBK in Mullanpur at the beginning of this season and expects the match on Saturday to be good. Clarke feels that Kolkata is a team like a bombaj that can get on a role if they can get several wins under the belt.
“No, I don’t think so. I think this game will remain in your memory for a KKR and they won’t want to talk about it again, but I think it will be beauty. We’ll see what playground we get. I think both teams really need to win.”
“Kkr will not get with their team. They have enough older players, they have enough experience. They’re just a bit like SRH.”
“These two were not great this season and still have a chance that they can turn things.
