The Minister for the Development of Medical Education and Skills Sharanprakash Patil said that after verifying expenditure under various heads, the demand for reinforcement of the repetitive expenditure of Medical College and Research Institute (KMCRI).
Patitil focused on a press conference in Hubball and admitted that there was pressure on KMCRI because it is the only unit of tertiary care in Kittur Karnataka, which provides health needs of patients from several districts.
He said that the government has already provided other healthcare facilities in various programs in the hospital.
“We want to ensure that each district has a sufficient medical facility and therefore the establishment of medical faculties is proposed in each district and also the establishment of super specialized hospitals. Government hospital will satisfy the needs of healthcare at affordable prices.
He explained to the question that the legitimate KMCRI grants are regularly released.
On the question of the private practice of doctors, he said that the government has already issued a circular direction that doctors should only do private practice after 16:00, and it was also obliged to register their participation four times a day and will also maintain CCTV supervision.
“Participation will be regularly checked with CCTV shots and will be treated seriously and penalized by reducing their salaries,” he said.
‘Does not match’
Regarding the demand for the establishment of Aiims in Raichur, the Minister said that although the problem was raised several times, the center “did not respond positively to the proposal yet”. Karnataka and Kerala are the only two states where there are no AIIMS, he said.
He said to the question that the question of the appointment of a full -time director to KMCRI will soon be launched, but explained that the reigning director has all the full -time director’s powers.
As a question about the lack of medicine and doctors who prescribe medicine to be purchased from medical stores, he said he would accept it during the inspection meeting. He explained that writing regulations for external medicine is strictly prohibited and in such cases the measures will be taken.
The Minister said that the government proposed an increase of 800 university medical seats and 750 postgraduate seats for clinical courses in government medical faculties of the state and expressed the certainty that the NMC would approve.
Inauguration
Subsequently, the Minister inaugurated a computer laboratory, Brachytherapy (Unit the Cancer Therapy Unit) established at 2.2 Crore, two modular theaters of Operations and a reconstructed outdoor stadium developed at the price of 1.5 crore.
The reigning director of KMCRI SF Kammar and other older doctors were present.
Later he also organized an inspection meeting and visited the construction site of the branch of the Jayadev Cardiology Institute, which is to be completed in a year.
