
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and strongly condemned a terrorist attack in Pahalgamu Jammu and Kashmir.
Meloni mediated her thoughts and prayers for the victims and wanted a speedy recovery of those injured, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Outside (Mea) Randhir Jaiswal.
She also expressed full support for Italy in the fight against terrorism.
26 people were killed in the attack, including two foreigners and two locals.
“PM Modi appreciated her challenge and a clear message about support against terrorism and those behind him. India and Italy will continue to cooperate, even on international platforms to strengthen the efforts to terrorism,” Jaiswal added.
After a terrorist attack on April 22, in a post on X, Meloni Sai, that it was grinded by a terrorist attack that occurred today in India, which caused many victims and added: “Italy expresses its closeness to the families, injured, government and all Indian people.”
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron also spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said barbarism exposed to the terrorist attack of Pahalgam is absolutely unacceptable.
President Macron expressed his personal condolences of “brutal killing” of innocent people in a nasty terrorist attack in Jamm and Kashmir, he said in a post on social media.
“The attack strongly condemned and expressed full support and solidarity with Indian people and added that this kind of barbarism is absolutely unacceptable,” Jaiswal said.
The Prime Minister thanked him for his support for his support and mediated the Indian strong determination to put the perpetrators to court, he added.
Meanwhile, the central government announced several measures after the attack and also suspended Visa Services for Pakistani nationals.
The Ministry of External Affairs also announced that all valid visas issued by Pakistani nationals will be canceled by an effective 27th April. Medical visas will remain valid until April 29. All Pakistani nationals have currently been instructed in India to leave the country before visa expires.
