
Air India announced on Thursday that some flights would take an alternative extended route when Pakistan closed its air space for Indian airlines after the new Delhi announced several measures reducing diplomatic ties with Islamabad after a terrorist attack in Pahalgamu Jammu and Kashmir.
On Tuesday, 26 people were killed in Pahalgam, including two foreigners and two locals.

“Given the announced restriction of Pakistani airspace for all Indian airlines, some flights Air India to North America, Great Britain, Europe and Middle East are expected to take an alternative extended route,” Air India said in post X.
The airline said it regrets the inconvenience caused by passengers because of this unforeseen closure of the airspace, which is outside our control.

On Thursday, Pakistan blocked his airy space for Indian airlines, closed the border crossing Wagah and suspended all India trade to face the new Delhi measures.
