Telugu writer Viswanath’s works epitomize Indian culture, says Malladi Vishnu

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Vijayawada Central constituency in-charge and former MLA Malladi Vishnu on Thursday described the works of Kavisamrat Viswanath Satyanarayan as a reflection of Indian culture, traditions and values ​​of joint family system.

Paying floral tributes to the statue of Viswanath Satyanarayan at the Lenin Center on the occasion of the writer’s birth anniversary, Mr. Vishnu said it was a matter of pride for Telugus that a resident of Vijayawada had achieved such prominence in literature.

Viswanatha Satyanarayana produced famous works like Veyipadagalu and Ramayana Kalpavruksham and was honored with Jnanpith and Padma Bhushan awards.

Mr. Vishnu said that Viswanath’s contribution to Telugu language and literature was unforgettable. Works like Veyipadagalu, which depicted Indian cultural and traditional values ​​and virtues of the joint family system, and Andhra Prasasti, which reflected the past glories of the Telugu people, would remain relevant for generations.

The program was attended by several party leaders, former corporator Sharvani Murthy, literary admirers and others.
