
Premier League Side Leicester City confirmed that Jamie Vardy will leave the club as a free agent at the end of the ongoing season 2024–25. The veteran striker will play his last match for Foxes 18. May against the city of Ipswich.
VARDY (38) made the announcement himself through an emotional video shared through his social media. While he confirmed his departure from Leicester, the attacker explained that he did not intend to retire and intends to continue playing football.

Vardy’s remarkable journey with Leicester began in 2012, when he joined the then league clothing Fleetwood Town for 1 million. Over the next 13 years, he strengthened his status as one of the most prolific attackers that the English game had seen.
“Although Jamie’s time ends with us as a player, he and his family will always be welcomed back to the King Power Stadium with an open arms after all he has achieved. I wish Jamie and his family best for the future and I know that AIAPHAW, AIAPHA will join us.
He played a key role in the historical victory in Leicester 2015–16 Premier League, scored 24 goals and set their fairy -tale run with tireless energy and drive. Opposite the nearly 500 performances for the Vardy Club scored almost 200 goals that covered both Premier League and EFL Championship.
His trophy cabinet includes the title Premier League, FA Cup, Community Shield and two championship titles. In particular, he became the oldest player who won the Golden Boot Premier League in 2020 after he counted 23 goals. Last season he added 18 others to his total, helped Leicester to bring a championship trophy and secure top promotion.
This season, however, grim after Vardy scored only 7 goals. To make matters worse, Leicester’s defeat of 1-0 in Liverpool on Sunday confirmed their descent to the championship for the second time in three years-she had a bitter remark to Vardy farewell.
