What is an unfortunate person?
Persona non grata is a Latin phrase that means “unwelcome person”. This term is commonly used to indicate someone who is no longer welcome or accepted in a specific group, country or settings.
In international diplomacy, if the country declares someone who is not grata, it means that the person is excluded from the country.
It is considered to be the most serious censorship that one country can apply to diplomats from the other.
The concept first appeared during the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961), which formalized international rules for diplomacy.
What is for a person who is not grateful notes?
Persona Non Grata Note is an official diplomatic communication or a note sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country to the Foreign Embassy and declares that a specific diplomat or foreign official is no longer welcome in the host country.
The issuing or host country is not obliged to explain why the note is issued.
According to the Vienna Convention, the individual must leave the country within 48 to 72 hours of receiving the note.
In the present case, India gave Pakistani diplomats one week to leave the country.
Who was declared non grata personality?
India has declared defense/military, naval and air advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in Nový Delhi as Persona Non Grata.
