CSIR-NEERI Director Venkata Mohan Elected Member of INSA

CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) Principal Scientist and Director of CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur, has been elected a Fellow of the prestigious Indian National Science Academy (INSA). Dr. Mohan was recognized for his significant contributions to environmental engineering and sustainable technologies. His research focuses on developing science-based solutions to complex environmental challenges through environmental biotechnology, resource recovery, wastewater treatment, bioelectrochemical systems, circular biorefineries and decarbonization. Over the years, his multidisciplinary research program has led to the development of technologies that have progressed from laboratory studies to field-level applications. These innovations have contributed to environmental remediation, resource recovery, carbon reduction and the development of a circular bioeconomy, a press release said Thursday.
