India destroy Pakistan 19-0 to storm into semi-finals of Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup

India booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup after beating Pakistan 19-0 in the quarter-finals in Moqi, China on Thursday.The defending champions have already topped their group after defeating Japan, Malaysia and South Korea. They will now face the winner of the South Korea vs Malaysia quarter-final for a place in the final.India took the lead in the seventh minute through Puja Sahoo and continued to score throughout the match. Roshni Aind doubled the lead two minutes later before Tanushree Dinesh Kadu, Sukhveer Kaur and Sanika Chandrakant Mane added further goals.Mane scored again in the 23rd minute, with Tanuja Toppo, Pooja Malik and Purnima Yadav also finding the net before half-time. India went into the break 10-0 up.The goals continued even after the restart. Malik completed his hat-trick with goals in the 49th and 51st minutes while Supriya struck twice. Krishna Sharma, Binima Dhan and Roshni also added to Pakistan’s woes, with Roshni scoring again in the last minute to complete a 19-0 win.India are now two wins away from completing a hat-trick of Women’s Junior Asia Cup titles.
