During Tuesday (April 22, 2025) a terrorist blood belt in Pahalgam in Pahalgam helped him Professor Assam and his family escape to safety, mumming “Lalala Illlah Muhammadur Rasulullah”.
Debashish Bhattaccharjee, led by the University Department of Bengal in Silchar Barak Valley, planned to visit Kashmir for many years with his wife Madhumita Das Bhattacharjee and their son. Their dream trip to “Heaven on Earth” turned into a hellish nightmare just 24 hours after the Srinagar was reached.
The professor clicked the photos with his mobile phone when he heard a shot. Initially, the seller in the area said that the sound is not unusual, because forest guards often distract monkeys that will consolidate tourists. Soon, however, the sounds became ominous.
Chanting
“We heard more shots and saw bodies falling around us. When we ran and hid behind the tree, a man ran to us and stiffened in the fear he was from me.
On the jacket of the professor, blood spilled when the body fell on another man trying to hide with them next to them. “Some people around me sang” Lalalalalallah “when the shooter checked us. I started murmuring the line when the shooter pressed the barrel on his head,” he said.
Basic phrases in Islam, line means: “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and Mohammad is a messenger of Allah.”
“I could hardly hear myself. The shooter demanded to hear what I murmured aloud. I trembled, lifted my voice, and he left seconds later,” said Mr. Bhattaccharjee. He saw three gunmen and heard 15 shots while the family was imprisoned on the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam.
Helped a village woman
Bhattaccharjees and several other tourists left the hill down the “Killing Fields” and two hours later managed to escape to safety. They continued to hear the shots for about 30 minutes when the meadow slowly disappeared from the perspective.
“The woman in the village led on the way and helped us by contacting some transporters to take us to Srinagar,” said Mr. Bhattcharjee.
