People responsible for the “cowardly terrorist attack” on innocent citizens in Jamm and Kashmir Pahalgam will soon receive a “strong response” to their harmful acts to Indian ground, said Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday (April 23, 2025).
Mr. Singh, while promising a suitable answer, also said that India not only hunts people who have committed the attack, but also follow the “behind the scenes” who conspired to perform a deadly act on Indian soil.

The clock before Mr. Singh checked the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir at a nearly two and a half -hour meeting, attended by NSA Ajit Doval, head of the defense staff gene Anil Chauhan, Army General Ubendra Dwivedi, Navy Admiral Dinesh K. Triporathi, Air Marshal AP Singh and Defense Singh.
“Yesterday in Pahalgam, our country has lost many innocent citizens in a cowardly attack on religion terrorists. This very inhuman act plunged us all into deep grief and pain,” the Minister of Defense said.
“I assure compatriots from this platform that with regard to the incident, the Indian government will take every step that is necessary and appropriate.”

“And not only we watch those who have committed this incident. We will also address those who sit down behind the scenes to perform a dangerous act on Indian soil,” Singh said.
The Minister of Defense said, “India is such an old civilization and so large country that it cannot be intimidated by any such terrorist activity.”
“People responsible for such acts will receive a strong response in the near future,” he said.

In connection with cross -border terrorist incidents, Mr. Singh said: “History is witnessing nations, not because of the opponent’s activities, but because of the outcome of their own offenses. I hope people across the borders will look closer to lessons.”
Mr. Singh described the attack in Pahalgam as “extremely inhuman” that “left us all in deep grief and pain”.
“First, I express my deepest condolences to all families who have lost their loved ones. At this sad time I pray to God for peace of the departing souls.”

“I would like to repeat the Indian company that we have zero tolerance policy against terrorism. Every citizen of India is united against this cowardly act,” he said.
Meeting at a high level President of Singh discussed all possible aspects of the situation that appeared in Jamm and Kashmir after a terrorist attack, said sources and refused to share more details.
He learns that Singh has ordered the armed forces to increase their readiness for combat readiness and increase the intensity of counter -terrorism operations.

At the meeting, the main general of the army introduced Gen. Dwivedi detailed overview of the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, including the deployment of its forces.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that those who would be brought to court for the “nasty act” will be brought to court.
Since the terrorist attack, several meetings on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir took place. Prime Minister Modi returned to Nový Delhi this morning after shortened his two -day trip to Saudi Arabia.

Interior Minister Amit Shah rushed to Srinagar on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) in the evening to take security measures.
Shortly after landing in Delhi, Modi organized a meeting with NSA Doval, Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar and Foreign Minister Vikram Misri.
At his address Mr. Singh stressed that national security cannot be ensured through imports on imports and the government is tirelessly working to achieve defense sovereignty.

He stated that the emphasis is on production defense equipment in the country and the Ministry of Defense’s efforts bring positive results.
Mr. Singh called a light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas, Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv, a light helicopter Prachand, Akash & Brahmos air defense as a shining examples of the ability of Indian designers, engineers and scientists.
