
Terrorist attack PAHALGAM: Up to 3,337 passengers flew from Srinagar in just six hours, at the age of 20 between 6:00 and 12:00 on Wednesday, after the terrorist attack Pahalgam.

“I personally follow the situation and in constant contact with the home ministry and air operators. It’s time for solidarity. We stand with every citizen and arrange all the necessary support,” added the Minister of Civil Aviation.
Previously on the day, the website of some airlines showed ticket prices over more £50,000 years to Srinagar.
The largest airline in the country, Indigo, said, given the urgent situation, taking steps to alleviate fares.
DGCA issues advice
On Wednesday, DGCA said that there was an unexpected demand of tourists trying to return to their homes as an incident in Pahalgam.
“In this respect, it is recommended that airlines take rapid steps to increase the number of flights in response to increased demand and also to ensure continuous connectivity from Srinagar to various destinations throughout India, making it easier to evacuate stuck tourists,” he said.

According to the Town Hall, airlines were also asked to provide all necessary assistance to tourists who face unexpected circumstances and challenges during this difficult period.
Airlines offer support
The main domestic airlines in India offered passengers to/from Srinagar Support and surrender with the cancellation and overparting fees.
“Indigo has added special flights to Srinagar from Delhi and bomb with immediate effect and will operate above and above a regular schedule of 160 weekly from/to Srinagar from different parts of India,” said Indigo, who operates 20 flights a day connecting Srinagar with different Indian cities, said.
Air India operates one more years from Srinagar to Delhi and Bombai, along with the fact that it offers free of charge and full refund for cancellation. He has five daily flights from Delhi and Bombai to Srinagar.
Spicejet, in the X post, said it operated another flight and also expands exceptions to overly and abolition for Srinagar flights to 30 April. For reservations made 22 April or earlier.

Akasa Air also said that passengers who wish to cancel their reservations will be provided with a full replacement without an additional fee for all flights departing from 23 to 29 April to/from Srinagar.
“Air India Express from or to Srinagar, April 30, 2025, is offered flexibility to overpart their travel with complete giving up fees for change of date,” the airline said in the X contribution.
According to the airline, passengers can also decide to cancel their reservations and get a full compensation for the original payment method.
Tourism in J&K to intervene?
President of the Federation of Travel Agents (TAFI) and CEO Nomad Travels Ajay Prakash said the attack in the short term will significantly affect tourism in J&K.
“As a tane, we commit to supporting tourism in J&K and we are sure it will recover very quickly,” he said.
