Manohar asks the Jana Sena cadre to prepare for the local body elections in Andhra Pradesh

Jana Sena Party Political Committee (PAC) Chairperson and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar on Wednesday asked the party cadre to be fully prepared for the local body elections, saying that the decision of party president and Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan on adjustments and seat allocation will be final.

Addressing the concluding session of the party’s local body election awareness program at Tadepalli, Mr. Manohar said that the coordination committees should actively involve party workers and ensure that the Jana Sena is ready to fight strongly and win wherever it enters the electoral fray.

“The direction of the party chairman is supreme. Carry out the duties assigned to you in the coordination committees with commitment. The party chairman will take care of the arrangements and allocation of seats,” he said.

Mr. Manohar directed the committees to remain in active mode from Thursday and regularly update the leadership about the situation on the ground. According to him, a special format from the party headquarters would have to be carefully filled out and submitted.

Mr. Manohar said that Mr. Pawan Kalyan will be available from September 15 and that there will be regular meetings, consultations and teleconferences. Party representatives participating in NDA parliamentary meetings should only present the party’s policy position, while seat-sharing matters would remain with the party president, he said.

A word of caution

Jana Sena general secretary and MSME Development Corporation chairman T. Sivashankar warned party workers against attempts by political opponents to create differences within the party and among alliance partners.

He argued that political opponents could spread misinformation and create disputes that undermine unity among the alliance parties, and urged cadres to rely only on information communicated through party headquarters.

Mr. Sivashankar also alleged that the YSR Congress Party could have used money and propaganda during the local elections. He advised Jana Sena and Veera Mahilas workers to remain vigilant and formulate strategies based on local conditions.

He warned party workers against complacency just because the party was part of the government and stressed the need to coordinate with senior officials and gain electoral experience through local opinion polls. He also urged the cadre to follow the decisions of Mr. Pawan Kalyan and work as a disciplined political force in elections.
