Man kills son in Idukki

The 29-year-old was allegedly murdered by his father at Anakkulam near Mankulam in Idukki. According to police, the deceased was identified as Justin.

According to investigators, Justin and his father, Joy, frequently argued over alleged drug use. After the incident, the father ingested poison in an attempt to end his life. He was taken to Adimaly Taluk Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police said Justin lived with his parents, but frequent arguments about his substance abuse recently forced his parents to move in with a relative. However, Joy returned home on Wednesday, leading to another argument. During the confrontation, Joy allegedly hit Justin with a wooden pole, resulting in his death.
