The 50-year-old faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged crimes should have taken place between 2007 and 2016.

The Crown Prosecution Service said the charges followed a police investigation that began in September 2025. Clarke is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on October 21.

The case marks the latest major development involving the actor, whose career has come under intense scrutiny since allegations of sexual abuse were first made public in 2021.

Bethan David, deputy chief prosecutor at the CPS, said prosecutors had concluded there was enough evidence to proceed with the case and that it was in the public interest to lay charges. She also urged people to avoid comments that could prejudice future criminal proceedings and affect Clark’s right to a fair trial.
