
Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed his deep sadness after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, who claimed the lives of at least 26 people, mostly tourists. When Meloni, on the X -Social Media platform, she said: “Deeply saddened by the terrorist attack that occurred today in India, which caused numerous sacrifices.”
Meloni has expanded the condolences of Italy to the families of victims, as well as the injured, the Indian government and people. “Italy expresses solidarity with affected families, injured, government and all Indian people,” she wrote.
International convicts and support
The terrorist attack that occurred on Tuesday afternoon included shooting in the popular tourist area near the town of Jammu and Kashmir Pahalgam Town and 26 dead and 20 injured. The attack was caused by extensive convictions between international leaders and caused spilling support for India, with many governments offering condolences and solidarity.
US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and the Foreign Ministry of SAE are among those who expressed solidarity with India after the tragedy.
Trump’s Message on Support
Trump called the “deeply worrying” attack and reaffirmed the strong attitude of the United States against terrorism. Trump, who published social truth, said, “The United States stands strongly with India against terrorism. We pray for the souls of the lost and the recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi and incredible India have full support and deepest sympathy. Our hearts are with you all!”
The American vice president JD Vance, who is currently in India, visits with his wife Usha Chilukuri and children, offered condolences and said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with them when we mourn in this terrible attack.”
Putin condemns the attack, reaffirms cooperation against terrorism
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to President Driskad Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the report, Putin condemned the “brutal crime” and repeated the commitment of Russia to strengthen cooperation with India in the fight against terrorism. “This brutal crime has no justification at all, and its perpetrators will face a deserved punishment,” Putin wrote. He also expanded his compassion for the families of the victims and wanted a quick recovery of the injured.
Israel and UAE stand with India
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar also condemned the attack and expressed the solidarity of his country with India in the fight against terrorism. “Deeply saddled with a nasty terrorist attack on tourists in #pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Our thoughts are with victims and their families. Israel will connect with India to fight terror,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack and confirmed its rejection of violence and terrorism and offered condolences to the families of victims and Indian people. It confirmed that SAE “expresses their strong convictions of these criminal acts and permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability in violation of international law”.
26 killed, including foreign tourists
On Tuesday afternoon, terrorists launched fire on a popular meadow near Kashmir Pahalgam and killed 26 people, including tourists from UAE and Nepal, as well as locals. This is the deadliest attack in the region by Pulwama 2019.
Minister Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah described the attack as “much greater than anything we have directed to civilians in recent years,” he emphasized the scale and brutality of the attack.
“The number of victims is still detected, so I don’t want to get into these details. They will be officially mediated because the situation will be clearer. No need to say that this attack is much greater than anything we have directed to civilians in recent years,” Omar Abdullah wrote on x.
“I am shocked at faith. This attack on our visitors is an abomination. The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman and worthy of contempt. No words of convictions are not enough. I send my sympathy to the deceased families,” He said a cm.
Office of Governor Manoje Sinha on the Social Media: “The whole nation is angry and the blood of our strength is cooked. I want to reassure the nation that the Palaři Pahalgam attack will have to pay a very difficult price for their abominable act. My sincere condolences to families.”
Details of the incident
The attack occurred in Baisaran, a picturesque meadow six kilometers from Pahalgam, known for his picturesque landscape and visited tourists. Terrorists infiltrated an area that is often referred to as “Mini Switzerland” for their breathtaking views, and started shooting at tourists who enjoyed picnics, ponies and meals in local restaurants.
At least 20 others were injured during the attack.

Details of the victims
The victims came from different states throughout India, including Karnatak, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. Among the injured were several of the Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, who were immediately hurried to medical facilities.
Resistance front (TRF) requires responsibility
Front Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow group associated with Lashkar-E-Taiba (years) forbidden Pakistan (years), demanded responsibility for the attack. According to officials, terrorists could move from Kishtware in Jammú and arrived at Baisaran via Kokernag in South Kashmir.
