Bengaluru: Gang on police radar after Ganesha idol stolen from roadside stall

Police on Bengaluru’s Magadi Road are on the lookout for a gang of four men who allegedly stole a Ganesha idol kept for sale at a roadside stall in Dasarahalli in the early hours of Monday.

The incident took place around 4 am near Magadi Road when the suspects allegedly came in a truck, lifted the idol placed outside the temporary stand and fled from the spot.

The entire incident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera. The footage allegedly shows four men arriving in a truck and taking away the idol.

The theft came to light after CCTV footage was reviewed, leaving the stall owners shocked. Police are now reviewing the footage to identify the suspects and track down the vehicle used in the theft.
