A TDP activist clings to the ZP chairman’s bonnet for 3 km in Chittoor

Drama unfolded on the Palamaner-Krishnagiri National Highway near Nayanipalle village on Tuesday evening when a TDP activist allegedly jumped on the hood of Chittoor Zilla Parishad (ZP) Chairman Govindappa Srinivasulu’s moving car after party workers tried to stop it.

Srinivasulu was returning to Baireddipalle mandal after attending a YSRCP program in Kuppam when activists allegedly tried to hand over representation in local affairs. The driver allegedly failed to stop, prompting one activist to jump on the hood and cling to the moving vehicle for nearly 3 km before being left by the roadside.

The incident caused unrest in the area. The Kuppam police said they had not received any complaint and no case had been registered till Tuesday evening.
