
The special investigation team (SIT) probes the alleged fraud of Andhra Pradesh reportedly arrested Kasiredy Rajashekar Reddy, the main suspect if at the International Rajiv Gandhi (RGIA) in Hyderabad in Telangana.
SIT served announcements Kasiredy Rajasekhar Reddy in the last few days. He proceeded to the High Court and was looking for a predictive bail and skipped the questioning of investigative officers. With a court who rejected the preliminary bail, Kasireddy returned to Hyderabad, where the police took him to custody. Police will move him to Vijayawady.
Police have already questioned former member of Rajya Sabha and leader YSRCP V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and Rajamplet MP PV Midhun Reddy in alleged fraud with multiple croremi. Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy claimed that Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy is the main accused of fraud for liqueur and could reveal more facts about the scandal.
Sit police produce Kasireddy in a court in Vijayawada on Tuesday, said a police officer on Monday.
It was argued that some YSRCP leaders floated distillery, introduced new liqueur brands, agreed by some officers and earned Crores Rupees from 2019 to 2024 by making cash transactions in liqueur stores. The police registered the case of alcohol fraud, which was later transferred to sitting.
