BCCI signs two-year deal worth over Rs 130 crore with 3 major brands including ChatGPT

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has strengthened its commercial portfolio after signing a two-season partnership worth over Rs 130 crore with Campa, SBI Life and ChatGPT as associate partners for Indian domestic cricket.

The deal will run from India’s upcoming home series against the West Indies until March 2028. The combined value of the three deals is 44 percent higher than the previous cycle, underscoring the growing commercial appeal of Indian cricket.

These partnerships bring together brands from the beverage, insurance and artificial intelligence sectors, further expanding BCCI’s commercial ecosystem. The agreements cover India’s bilateral cricket played at home over a two-season period.

BCCI president Mithun Manhas said the new partnerships reflect the strength of Indian cricket and the trust brands continue to have in the sport.

“India’s domestic season continues to be a valuable and sought-after sporting asset in the country and the signing of Campa, SBI Life and ChatGPT is a strong endorsement of the strength of the Indian cricket ecosystem. The large increase in the combined value of these partnerships is particularly encouraging. It reflects the confidence that leading brands have in the reach, engagement and associated commercial potential that comes with CIBC.”

INDIA’S PACKED CALENDAR ADDS TO BCCI’S BUSINESS LINE-UP

The timing of the announcement comes as Indian cricket enters another busy stretch across the men’s and women’s teams.

BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia said the increase in the value of the partnership demonstrates the demand for an association with Indian cricket.

“The significant growth in the value of our partnerships for the domestic season reflects the strength of the property and the trust the brands have in BCCI and Team India. The 44% increase in the value of the combined transaction with the latest partnerships worth more than $130 million is a significant achievement and demonstrates the strong demand for the association with Indian cricket,” Saikia said.

The Indian men’s team will play a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in Delhi from September 13 to 17, with all three matches scheduled at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

At the same time, the Indian women’s team is in Dubai for the Women’s Asia Cup, which is being played from August 28 to September 13. India has already reached the knockout stage tournaments.

The inclusion of ChatGPT alongside Camp and SBI Life also reflects an increasingly diverse range of sectors looking to capitalize on the huge reach of Indian cricket, while giving BCCI another significant boost in the commercial value of its home season.
