Tata Boeing JV rolls out 400th airframe for AH-64E Apache from Hyderabad plant

Tata Boeing Aerospace (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL), launches the 400th airframe for the AH-64E Apache from its Hyderabad facility.

Made in India, for India and the world, the fuselages underpin Apaches flying around the world, JV said, announcing the milestone on Monday (September 7, 2026). India has a fleet of 28 Apaches, 22 with the Indian Air Force and six with the Army.

“Established in 2016, the project underscores the maturity of India’s aerospace ecosystem and its integration into global defense supply chains,” TBAL said. At the core of the project is a 52,000-square-meter facility that employs more than 750 engineers and technicians, the JV said.

The 300th Apache attack helicopter fuselage from the facility was delivered in February 2025.
