Indian spinner takes five-for in England, seals 213-run victory in County Championship

Indian left-arm spinner Sai Kishore played the ball as Gloucestershire beat Derbyshire by 213 runs in the County Championship Division Two match at the Seat Unique Stadium in Bristol.Sai Kishore returned figures of 5-20 from 18 overs as Derbyshire, chasing 319, were bowled out for 105 in 39 overs during the last over of the match.Ed Middleton backed him up with 2-17 while Ollie Price took 3-59 as the Gloucestershire attack claimed all 10 wickets in Derbyshire’s second innings.The win completed a turnaround for Gloucestershire, who were reduced to 37-5 on the opening day of the match.Earlier, Gloucestershire declared their second innings at 359-5. Miles Hammond scored 118 while James Bracey remained unbeaten on 104. The pair added 165 runs for the fourth wicket.Bracey became the first Gloucestershire batsman to score two centuries in the same first-class match since Alex Gidman achieved the feat at Archdeacon Meadow, Gloucester in 2007.The win gave bottom Gloucestershire 19 points and ended a run of six straight defeats. Their only two wins this season both came against Derbyshire, who left Bristol with four points.Derbyshire needed early wickets as play resumed with Gloucestershire on 149-3 but they missed key chances in the field.Shoaib Bashir dropped Bracey off his own bowling when the batter was on five, while Matt Montgomery failed to catch a return pass to dismiss Hammond for 77.Missed opportunities proved costly as Hammond and Bracey took control. Bracey reached his second half-century of the match from 75 balls, while Hammond completed his third first-class century of the season and eighth century of his career from 182 deliveries.Derbyshire took the new ball and brought back seamers Ben Aitchison and Brett Randell, but Gloucestershire reached 268-3 by lunch.After helping Gloucestershire gain a strong position, Hammond was dismissed when Montgomery caught Martin Andersson at mid-wicket. His innings combined defense and attack.Bracey then completed his fifth century of the season from 143 balls, hitting seven fours and two sixes as Gloucestershire declared on 359-5. He also became the first Gloucestershire wicketkeeper to score a double century in a match since Harry Smith in 1919.Set 319 to win, Derbyshire’s approach was one of survival rather than chasing the target. Gloucestershire opened the bowling with spin from both ends and wrapped the field around the bat.Sai Kishore immediately intervened after tea. He trapped Harry Came lbw and bowled Matt Montgomery with the very next delivery.Soon after, Wayne Madsen was caught at second slip off Sai Kishore as Derbyshire slipped to 32-3.Mohammed Bin Naeem was then trapped by Ollie Price when the delivery stayed low.Derbyshire’s collapse continued as Sai Kishore bowled Aneurin Donald and Brooke Guest within three deliveries to complete his five-wicket haul in eight overs.Middleton replaced Price from the Ashley Down Road End and had Ben Aitchison caught by Ollie Price at second slip with Derbyshire at 76-7.Martin Andersson, who top-scored with 35, was then caught at first slip after he edged Middleton to try to defend.Price ended the innings by catching Jack Morley lbw before dismissing Brett Randell in front. He finished with match figures of 9-104 as Gloucestershire won by 213 runs in front of the home fans.
